Gloucestershire Care Home, The Hollies, has been selected as a finalist in the 2012 National Care Awards in the categories Care Team and Activities Team.

This is a remarkable achievement for a small independent care home, having beaten hundreds of nominees across the country to reach the top five in each category.

The awards dinner was held in London, and was attended by a group of staff from The Hollies who enjoyed a great evening. The Care Team was represented by Nurse Trish Pyne RGN, and SHCA Tanya Goodwin, while the Activities Team was represented by Diane Browning and Tracey Hanlon. They were also were also supported by their husbands and partners, and Nurse Verlie Mendoza RGN, representing the Night Care Team.

Our staff team are truly caring and devoted, and it was wonderful to see them receive recognition at this prestigious event, says Jonathan Hawkins, managing director of the Hollies Care Centre, Dursley. I am extremely proud of them all and frequently receive praise and thanks about them from residents and families.
