About the day:
James and Sarah were bitten by the travel bug when they embarked on a 10-month round-the-world trip two years ago. As Japans famous cherry blossom bloomed, romantic James proposed near a temple in the city of Kyoto. It was fitting that their fairytale wedding at Clearwell Castle should reflect their love of adventure. Atop each table for their 130 guests was the name of a favourite place and a photo of the couple there with an anecdote about their trip. James university friend Simon Williams was best man, while his sister Sophie OConnor and Sarahs university pals Jo Fitzgerald and Jo Cochrane were bridesmaids. The highlight of their day was their so-called Dungeon Disco dancing in Clearwells converted wine cellar, complete with bar. As is tradition at OConnor family weddings, all the boys danced to family composition Star Trekking, written by James uncle John.
