Janet Turner has been making beautiful linens and textiles since 1982 when she was living in Cheltenham.
At that time working only with Irish linens (she made regular buying trips to Belfast) she built up her business making huge hemstitched cloths and napkins, some with lace or crochet added.
Now, having moved to Cirencester, she supplies two large retail outlets in London, in St James and Piccadilly, but most of her work is special commissions for individual clients.
"I visit clients so that we can work together to get the exact size and design they want," she said. She also supplies hotels, restaurants with bed and table linen.
Another area of her business is rug-making from woollen fabrics, much of it woven in the Cotswolds. These are reversible with bound edges, each individually made and hand finished in a variety of sizes and colours. These make ideal car rugs, bed and chair throws or picnic rugs for the season's outdoor events.
