Set in the stunning gardens of West Woodhay House, near Newbury, the festival offers a wealth of activities for all the family to enjoy with a full and exciting programme throughout the entire weekend.

Come and meet the West Woodhay Experts (or WWE) including gardening writer and TV presenter Pippa Greenwood; ‘The Big Chef’, Peter Osbourne; the 30th winning Roux Scholar, Paul O’Neill and BBC Radio WM’s Steve Brookes who will be available on the Festival’s new Garden and Cooking Stage offering demonstrations and advice to visitors on everything from growing your own produce to cooking spectacular dishes with it.

Or why not treat yourself to a night at the opera? Performed by Opera Brava, accompanied by a chamber ensemble as well as singers from the English National Opera and Covent Garden, this world class candlelit extravaganza of popular music from the shows, is perfect for everyone.

For a truly nostalgic and exhilarating thrill, experience an RAF flypast of two classic wartime aircraft. A Hurricane and a Spitfire from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be taking to the skies above the festival on Saturday.

Youngsters will enjoy the brand new and mysterious Enchanted Wood, complete with treasure hunt. There will even be face painters on hand to transform the little ones into fairy princesses, goblins or wizards. And of course, top children’s entertainers, Sharky and George will be returning for yet more fun!

With a whole host of exhibitors offering a wide range of gardening products, plants and gifts as well as the individual and imaginative show gardens to browse and competitions such as ‘Grow Your Own Lunch’ the West Woodhay Festival of Gardening makes the ideal country destination for a relaxed weekend.

Guy Burtenshaw, show director said, ‘We’re really excited about this year’s festival, especially as all proceeds go to both local and national charities. With many brand new features added to an already fun packed weekend, we’re looking forward to welcoming our visitors to these beautiful gardens.’

Tickets are available from £7 per person per day with free entry to children under 15.
