Tewkesbury Abbey ran a fundraising campaign called 19:13 where any member of the congregation who asked was given 10 and asked to take the money away and at least double it. Sixty-eight people took up this challenge and over 6,000 has been raised so far.
A concert was held to celebrate this achievement and thank everyone who took part in the challenge. During the concert the then Town Mayor, Mr Philip Workman presented a gift to the winners of the prizes for most money raised and the most innovative fund raising idea.
The Abbey Choir and Tewkesbury Town Training Band provided the entertainment.
