Talland Group celebrates its 45th Anniversary

Children and adults from the Talland Group Riding for the Disabled held a display for their landmark 45th anniversary.

Children and adults from the Talland Group Riding for the Disabled held a display for their landmark 45th anniversary.

The group which was started by Sheila Shaw and is now organised by Caroline Longsdon gained its name after being given a home at the Talland Scool of Equitation at Ampney Knowle. Talland is a world-renownedBHS&ABRSapproved equestrian centre offeringtop class tuitioninDressage,Show Jumping, Cross CountryandSide Saddle.

Talland was founded in 1958 byMrs Molly Sivewright, who is still actively involved in therunning and managementof the School which is now run by one of her daughters, international dressage rider and trainer Pammy Hutton,FBHSwith her husband Brian Hutton,BHSIand a host of other prominentinstructors.

Members on horseback were honoured as newly-retired national Riding for the Disabled Chairman and former Olympic rider Jane Holderness-Roddam unveiled a plaque.
