Family and seasoned racegoers had an exciting day out at this year's Duke of Beaufort's Hunt Point-to-point held at Didmarton, near Tetbury.

Over 10,000 people attended and nine races were run over its undulating course, making for excellent public viewing.

There was entertainment for the whole family including fabulous shopping opportunities at the many trade stands, tasty refreshments, a public bar and, of course, the bookies!

The Duchess of Beaufort presented some of the prizes, and a raffle was held with a first prize of 1,000. A share of the proceeds will be given to 'Help for Heroes' which assists the wounded soldiers coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Joint Master of the Beaufort Hunt Captain Ian Farquhar said the day was a great success and thanked the many volunteers for their generous support.
