Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins wowed the audience at Cheltenham Racecourse with a charity concert in aid of LINC. A huge crowd of opera fans arrived early and enjoyed picnics before the star of the show took to the stage with the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Musical Director Anthony Inglis.

The singer who celebrated her 30th birthday earlier in the week answered the audiences questions and performed requests including singing a song in memory of the father of a member of the audience who had passed away a couple of months earlier.

Katherine lost her own father to lung cancer and at the beginning of the concert gave her heartfelt support to LINC. Japanese violin sensation Diana Yukawa appeared as special guest as Katherine changed dresses no fewer than three times.
