By kind permission of the Dean, the Freemasons of Gloucestershire held their Annual Service at Gloucester Cathedral. The service was attended by over 600 Masons, and their families and friends. The Service was conducted by Reverend John Cammell and the Sermon given by Reverend Doctor John Railton, the Grand Chaplain of the United Grand Lodge of England.

The Freemasons in Gloucestershire have a long and happy relationship with the Cathedral and have for over 150 years supported many projects of restoration. This is the one occasion in the year that the Gloucestershire Masons process in public in their distinctive masonic regalia.
