Founded in 2008 the society aims to celebrate the heritage of the Gloucester Old Spot which has a pedigree dating back to 1913, making them the oldest pedigree spotted pigs in the world. Guest speaker for the event was Richard Lutwyche of the Gloucester Old Spot Pig Breeders Club. The event marked the beginning of the 2010 Tetbury Food & Drink festival.
