David Cameron visits the The Bull Hotel, Burford

On a flying visit today to Burford, part of his Witney constituency, the Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated Jean-Marie Lauzier, new owner of the Bull Hotel in Burford's High Street.

On a flying visit today toBurford, part of his Witney constituency, the Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated Jean-Marie Lauzier, new owner of the Bull Hotel in Burfords High Street. The occasion was the celebration of the fourth centenary of theBull since its first opening as a Coaching Inn in 1610. Mr Lauzier said, We are honoured that in the middleof his national and international responsibilities, Mr Cameron still finds time to care for the members of hisconstituency.

The Bull, a historic building with a starred listing,has recently undergone a completerestorationand refurbishment, and Frenchman MrLauzier and his English wife Clareplan to restore it as ahigh-classhotel and gourmet restaurant.
Burford itself, a medieval market town, has been listed by the American Forbes magazine as one of the six most idyllic places to live in Europe.
