Hundreds of invited guests including ex-Blur bassist Alex James filled Gloucester Cathedral for the launch of 'Crucible' on the evening of Friday, September 3.

Hundreds of invited guests including ex-Blur bassist Alex James filled Gloucester Cathedral for the launch of Crucible on the evening of Friday, September 3.

Foundry workers from Pangolin, who curated the exhibition, and Cathedral staff rubbed shoulders with artists and civic leaders at the celebratory event which marked the completion of almost two years of planning.

It has been a spectacular achievement, commented the Very Reverend Nick Bury, Dean of Gloucester, We knew the exhibition would be extraordinary, but the result has surpassed all our expectations.
