Christmas Bonanza

The Northleach Christmas Bonanza is swiftly approaching on our calendars. This popular annual event for the Cotswold area has now been showcasing local enterprises for four years and the stunning display of talent and innovation this year is guaranteed to tempt and delight visitors. Once again, there are many local stallholders, some familiar faces and some new, lined up to sell their wonderful gifts and goodies on Saturday, November 17 at the Westwoods Centre in Northleach.

Last years bonanza attracted a huge crowd from far and wide, and this years event promises to be another hugely popular day. Local Christmas spirit is the order of the day.

The bonanza is the result of a host of small local businesses and craftspeople getting together to stage a one day Christmas shopping event. Current and previous exhibitors have gone on to great success with national recognition with retailers such as Waitrose, Fortnum & Mason and Tesco. So this is your chance to see the upcoming talent in the area, sample their wares, look at what they can provide you with and pick up some wonderful Christmas presents and ideas. All in a relaxed, warm, festive setting.

Treasures to look for include hand-painted gifts and hand-crafted accessories, bespoke jewellery and delicious organic cakes, not to mention the ceramics, photography and art together with gorgeous foods and pampering skin and body care products.

Four local business women from Northleach are the organisers of this growing event which was established to help promote small local enterprises. Completely self-sufficient and non profit making, everything from the stall holders to the PR, graphic design to the road signage, is provided by local businesses. Rachel Davies of Keke Childrens Interiors, Vicki Gray of Blumango Creative, Kate Pett of Kate Pett Creates and Heather Palethorpe of Chadwick Photography commented: Between us we offer a huge range of gorgeous Christmas gift and food ideas, so whether someones looking for quirky stocking fillers or a unique present with the wow factor, they would do well to pop by. And theyll be supporting the local economy at the same time!
