Pantomime actor Mark Roper who will play the part of Germoline Hardup, one of Cinderellas Ugly Sisters in Cinderella at the Everyman this winter made a guest appearance at the C&G Cheltenham cricket festival ladies day.

Germoline helped with the presentation of the Howzat pudding to Gloucestershire County Cricket Club Chairman Rex Body, the iced dessert decorated with an edible cricket ball, players and stumps has been an annual feature at the festival for the past ten years and is created by the staff of Cheltenham restaurant Brasserie Blanc.

Ladies in the hospitality tent enjoyed a slice of the pudding with their tea as Gloucestershire fired their way to a 1st innings total of 480 runs. Gloucestershire have been playing at Cheltenham for over 135 years and Cheltenham is the worlds longest running cricket festival.
The idyllic setting at Cheltenham College has provided a perfect backdrop for the Festival throughout its history, proving a successful attraction for cricket fans, new supporters and big cricketing stars.
