Community group Cheltenham Connect is holding its first-ever traditional 'village show' on Sunday, September 23 at the Bath Road Market.

Community group Cheltenham Connect is holding its first-ever traditional village show on Sunday, September 23 at the Bath Road Market. Its an opportunity for the towns gardeners, bakers, crafters and photographers of all ages to showcase their skills and win prizes for their creativity. The event will also include craft demonstrations, food, entertainment, an auction of donated exhibits and a raffle. It opens to the public at 1pm, with prize-giving at 4pm followed by the raffle draw and an auction of donated exhibits.

Would-be exhibitors can obtain an entry form by emailing Jenny at ccvillageshow@cheltenhamconnect.co.uk or from the Bath Road market (252 Bath Road, Cheltenham) on Saturdays, September 1, 8 or 15 between 10am2pm. Each adult exhibit costs 50p, and each child exhibit 20p. Open age categories include preserves and cooking, horticulture, photography and homecrafts, while for children and young people there are five additional categories made and decorated cupcakes, create Bath Road shop in a shoe box, create a monster from fruit and vegetables, create a miniature garden in a tray and design a Bath Road clock which will each be judged in four age groups.
