Riders, owners and guests alike were treated to a champagne reception in the elegant reception rooms in Blenheim Palace. The 150 guests were led through the current museum of the life of Sir Winston Churchill before being personally greeted by His Grace the Duke of Marlborough and entering the main reception.

The Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials are now firmly established in the eventing calendar. They have been run since 1990, attracting the worlds best riders and the thousands of spectators who come each year to watch the event.

The Horse Trials is known as a three-day event, even though the actual event is run over nearly five days! This is because the event is made up of three phases: Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping.
