Guests partied until the small hours and danced to live music by darwinswish following a charity auction which raised almost 3,500 at the Art in Woodstock opening Charity Auction dinner held at The Marlborough Grill in Woodstock, on the evening of Saturday 25th October. Artwork donated by both local and celebrity artists was auctioned by Michael Welsh of Bonhams Auctioneers, to benefit Action for Children (formerly National Children's Homes) and Woodstock Youth Club. The auction featured artworks and other prizes donated by exhibiting and other artists and local businesses. Due to the fantastic response received from artists in support of the two charities, other lots were offered in a silent auction.

There was a fabulous selection of art to bid for including pieces by Peter Wileman, President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Henderson Cisz, 2007 Fine Art Trade Guild Artist of the Year and holder of the John Solomon Trophy, illustrator Korky Paul (Winnie the Witch) and eccentric Witney born artist Andrew Logan.
