Annual Tetbury and South Cotswolds Food and Drink Festival

18 22nd September 2013

The Tetbury Food and Drink Festival committee are delighted to announce the dates for the 7th annual Food and Drink Festival in the beautiful and historic market town of Tetbury. There will be a wealth of tasty food and drink on offer to tantalise the taste buds.

18th 22nd September 2013 is a date for the diary for everyone interested in good quality, local food and drink. With current horsemeat scares and continued interest in what we are eating there is no better time to come and see what is on offer locally with no hidden additives or extras!

Plans are already in place to start the festival off with the annual Gloucester Old Spot (sausage) Appreciation Society annual dinner at The Close Hotel on the 18th September. (Reservations available from The Close Hotel 01666 502272.)

Many visitors consider the Sunday Farmers Style Market (22nd September 2013 running from 10am till around 5pm to be the highlight of the festival. Held in the centre of Tetbury and around the historic listed Market Hall there will be over 50 stalls and something for everyone to taste and try. From bakeries to vineyards, cheeses to honey, and much more.

Each year the numbers of stalls grow and already there has been a lot of interest and confirmation of companies old and new wanting to take a space at this prestigious event on the Cotswolds Calendar. Anyone wanting to take part in this event can contact Kathryn J Limoi at: kathryn.limoi@btinternet.com

I have been involved in this festival since the very first one seven years ago. It is wonderful to see it growing each year and to be getting stallholders coming back time and again as they find it such a good place to promote their produce. I am delighted to say that this year is no exception and interest is up on previous years already, commented Kathryn, Festival Organiser.
