Enjoy all the fun of the fayre when the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice throws open its doors for its annual autumnal celebration on Saturday 10th September between 11am and 4pm.
The event promises a fun, traditional Cotswolds day out for all the family whilst raising funds for the local hospice which cares for local people aged 18 and over, living with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease.
With entry just £2.50 per adult and children under 12 getting in for free, the day offers something for all ages at great value thanks to sponsorship from Bristol Street Motors.
The young – and the young at heart – can enjoy children’s entertainment, games, face painting, Cheltenham Town FC Hot Shot, a visit from Princess Elsa and a bouncy castle as well as live music and dance displays from special guests.
For the shoppers and bargain hunters there will be an abundance of gifts and treats on offer at craft, fashion and food stalls – from homemade cakes and preserves to children’s toys and retro fashion.
Renowned Cheltenham restaurant The Spice Lodge will also be serving up something tasty from their Pan Asian food stall.
Those looking for more traditional fayre can take part in the bottle tombola, peruse the second hand book stall and enter the charity raffle or enjoy an afternoon tea and BBQ served in the hospice’s beautiful historic surroundings nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds, with refreshments supplied by Creed Food Service.
Elise Hoadley, Hospice Director at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, “Our Autumn Fayre is one of our flag ship events where we throw open our doors and invite our local community in to hear and see more about what we do whilst having a great day out with family and friends raising much needed funds for our hospice.
“We offer the only inpatient unit providing specialist hospice care in the whole of the county in addition to our day hospice and hospice at home services. Our team of expert nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, family support workers and volunteers do all they can be there for local people and their families when they need us most.
“As a charity all our services are given free of charge, but we rely on fundraising for the majority of our income. Our Autumn Fayre is an important part of our fundraising calendar and we are really looking forward to welcoming lots of people through our doors for what promises to be a fun filled family day out.”
