Oxfordshire charities receive gifts from Inca

PUBLISHED: 17:22 27 January 2015 | UPDATED: 17:22 27 January 2015

An accountancy firm near Wantage said “Happy New Year” to four charities in Oxfordshire with generous donations that have already reached over £7,000 due to the firm’s unprecedented growth.

Founders of Inca, Graham and Lesley Carson, empower the Inca team to nominate four charities each financial year to benefit from 1% of the firm’s profit, presented at the end of each quarter.

A member of the Inca team presented Hft, formerly Home Farm Trust, with a cheque for £277.14, taking the charity’s total gift to over £1,000 this financial year, which will help provide support to people with learning disabilities and their families in Oxfordshire.

Claire Clark (pictured) of Inca, said: “Hft was nominated by a team member who has experienced the charity’s good work first-hand through support provided to a family member. We are delighted to meet with Hft today to present them with a donation that is going to a well deserved cause and look forward to our next donation in April 2015.”

Wendy Coombes of Hft said: “We are delighted to be chosen to have the support of Inca this year. The generous donation will help Hft to continue to support people with learning disabilities throughout the region to get the most out of life.”

The other Inca nominated charities to have received a share of £7,322.76 this year are:

· Silver Star Society, providing special care for mothers with medical complications during pregnancy, based at the John Radcliffe Hospital

· Sobell House Hospice, providing palliative and end of life care to the residents of Oxfordshire

· The Antics Charity, a Witney charity that supports children affected by cancer through stud fees raised by beautiful stallion, Antics. All fees go to his name sake charity
