HRH The Prince of Wales, patron of Music in Country Churches, attended a concert at Malmesbury Abbey, Wiltshire, on Saturday, May 21, 2016. The concert was performed by the English Chamber Orchestra and featured British cellist, Caroline Dale.

Founded in 1989, Music in Country Churches was set up with the specific aim of bringing world-class musicians to country churches of particular beauty and importance. The concerts are arranged during three annual weekends and are designed to raise funds to help these churches with maintaining and upkeeping their fabric.
