Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is throwing open its doors for its annual autumn celebration on Saturday September 9 between 11am and 4pm

The event at Leckhampton Court Hospice promises a fun, traditional Cotswolds day out for all the family whilst raising funds for the hospice which cares for people aged 18 and over living with conditions like cancer, heart failure, lung disease and neurological conditions from right across Gloucestershire.

With entry just £2.50 per adult with children under 12s free, the day offers something for everyone within the stunning grounds of the historic grade II listed building.

The perfect setting for a quintessential family day out in the Cotswolds, the young – and the young at heart – can enjoy children’s entertainment, games, face painting, Cheltenham Town FC Hot Shot, and a bouncy castle as well as live music and dance displays from special guests.

For the shoppers there will be an abundance of gifts and treats on offer at craft, fashion and food stalls – from homemade cakes and preserves to children’s toys and retro fashion.

Those looking for more traditional fayre can take part in the bottle tombola, peruse the second hand book stall and enter the charity raffle or enjoy a Cotswolds afternoon tea or BBQ served in the hospice’s beautiful historic surroundings, with refreshments supplied by long term supporters of the hospice, Creed Food Service.

Elise Hoadley, Hospice Director at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, “Our traditional autumn fayre is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy our beautiful grounds and buildings nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds whilst having a great day out with family and friends raising much needed funds for our hospice.”

“We are home to the only inpatient unit giving around the clock hospice care in the whole of the county in addition to our day and hospice at home services. As a charity all our services are given free of charge, but we rely on fundraising for the majority of our income. Our Autumn Fayre is an important day in our fundraising calendar, and over the past five years it’s taken place we have raised over £26,000, which could pay for a staggering 1,600 hours of hospice care here.”

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming lots of people through our doors for what promises to be a fun filled family day out.”
