On madebyhandonline.com we have new makers joining continually and you can shop with the confidence that you are buying from the very best and from the people that know the craft business inside out. Reclaimed and sustainable materials feature strongly in our collection and a bold sense of colour, reflecting current catwalk trends. Meet our new makers and new products by Peris & Corr, Pigmillion, by Kirsty, Su Trindle, Sarah Allen, Reply Design plus much more.

Scouring the UK for the finest contemporary makers is a full time occupation for madebyhandoinline.com. We cherry pick only the very best of British craftspeople and have assembled an unrivalled collection on our ever expanding site. We give you the story behind the maker and are true to our mission : Love the things you buy, get to know the person who made it.

Madebyhandonline is Sarah James and Katie Honnor and was set up in December 2010. Sarah has been pioneering selling the top names in craft direct to the public for many years through organising large, high profile events like The Contemporary Craft Festival at Bovey Tracey and Made by Hand at Tredegar House. Both she and Katie share a passion for all things British and handmade.

As Sarah comments,

We are extremely lucky in Britain and Ireland, to still be world leaders of craft skills, yet many makers lack the time and ability to market their work properly. Ive built up a career in helping makers sell their work and together with Katie we have created a site that allows you to buy beautiful things whilst directly supporting British making at its very best

We also provide customers with the story behind what theyre buying. explains Katie. This is really important to buyers of craft and is often overlooked on the internet. Customers can learn about the makers themselves as well as the processes and inspiration behind their work. This makes a new necklace, piece of sculpture or cushion much more appealing and personal.

So whether you go weak at the knees for jewellery, have a thing about ceramics or have a dying need to kit out your kitchen, you will find something truly unique, handmade and utterly lovely on madebyhandonline.com.
