The White Spoon is finalist for ‘New Restaurant of the Year’ in The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2016

Young chef Chris White, of The White Spoon, is pleased to announce the restaurant has reached the final four nominees in the New Restaurant of the Year category of The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2016.
Recognised as the “Chefs Oscars”, at these awards the Guild recognises and rewards the hospitality industry’s leading talent across all sectors of the industry. There will be 17 award categories ranging from young and apprentice chefs to pub and restaurant chefs, also recognising specialist sectors.
The winner of the New Restaurant of the Year award is decided by a panel of judges, whom have visited and reviewed the total dining experience at each of the four establishments over the last two months. The winner being announced on the 1st June 2016 at the award ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel.
Having only opened in September last year, owners Chris White and Purdey Spooner are delighted to be recognised in this way.
“It is a huge honour to have been nominated for such a prestigious award, let alone reach the final. Especially when you look at the roll call of previous nominees and winners, including Lima and Chiltern Fire House. Some of these are among my favourite restaurants and run by such inspirational and innovative Chefs” said Chris.
