Pub Dog at The Old Spot Inn, Dursley

Pub Dog at The Old Spot Inn, Dursley

We catch up with Jack, the sausage-scoffing Uley Brewery fan

Name: Jack.
Address: The Old Spot Inn,
2, Hill Road, Dursley, GL11 4JQ,
tel: 01453 542870.
Age: 11.
Sex: Oh, very male. I used to live at The Bell Inn in Frampton on Severn and had to be collected from Saul when I followed a rather attractive bitch once.
Breed: West Highland Terrier.
Favourite food: Sausages. Not any old sausages, though. Its got to be Old Ric sausages, made with Old Ric beer. I have certain standards to maintain.
Favourite flavour of crisps: Why would I eat crisps if there are Old Ric sausages in the bar?
Favourite drink: Im rather fond of Uley Brewerys beers, but I have to limit myself. Ive never had to buy a pint thanks to the generosity of the locals.
Favourite customer: That would have to be Laura and Matt theyre my surrogate parents and take me out to the most brilliant places. Oh, and Disco Mike and Little Merv.
Favourite walk: Anywhere with Laura and Matt. If theres water around, so much the better.
Favourite spot in the bar: In my basket by the fire. Though in the summer months I have been known to stretch out on the hot tarmac outside the front of the pub.
Any dislikes/pet hates: That bloody Siamese cat who lives here, Cleo. Though she seems quite fond of me and tries to share my basket, I do wish she wouldnt. I hate baths too. Give me a muddy puddle any day, but hot water and bubbles. Well, its just not natural, is it?
