How long has the company been in operation?

The company was started back in May 1988 and operated from a small unit in Mead Road, Cheltenham. From there it grew and grew to bursting point, leading us to where we are now in our purpose-built high-spec buildings in Andoversford.

I'm planning an intimate dinner party for a handful of friends. Would this be too small for you to consider handling?

Absolutely not; we can accommodate any size of booking from 5-5,000 with a great range of styles to choose from. Delivered to your venue ready for use... and we even do the washing up for you.

What does your range include?

Everything you need for the perfect event, but too much to mention, so I'll just give a quick overview off the top of my head... Glassware, cutlery, linen, furniture, china, and they all have various styles and ranges available to suit the budget.

Any interesting clients?

To be fair all of our clients are interesting as they all have an individual vision of how they need their event to look and feel. We have a client base that ranges from royalty to couples requiring 20 champagne flutes for their baby's christening.

What kind of functions have you provided for in the past?

Wow, now that is a broad spectrum. Royal banquets, society weddings, corporate dinners, business launches, private weddings and dinner parties and just about any sporting event that you care to mention.

How long have you worked for R&R Catering Hire?

This is my 18th year as I started way back in 1991 working in the warehouse and driving.

Why have you stayed so long?

Well, over the years I have been given the freedom to develop myself as well as help to engineer the future of the company. With my roles changing throughout the years, from overseeing the arrival of many new staff members to promoting the company in a sales and marketing capacity, I find that there is always a new challenge just around the corner.

Why should people use your service?

Obviously I'm biased but I believe that we are by far and away the best as well as being the biggest in the Cotswolds. We have the best quality equipment, procedures, and knowledgeable staff all in place to ensure an impeccable service.

Where in the Cotswolds would you go for a great meal?

There are so many wonderful places in this area and we have many of them as clients so it's a tough choice, but I would go for The Reservoir at Charlton Kings. The food is fantastic local produce, superb service and wallet-friendly prices. If you go on the right day you may even meet celebrity chef Martin Bleunos. Try the belly pork and crackling; it is gorgeous.

What is your favourite item that you hire?

Gosh! Another toughie. I think that would have to be our tall, twisted champagne trumpet as it looks stunning either laid on a table or as a reception glass. They are all individual as each is hand blown then twisted, and they currently adorn the front cover of our new brochure.

Ahh, now this is easy. I would always recommend you visit our website first at as you can view the items, place orders or just get a quick online quote. You can call us to discuss your requirements, and you are very welcome to come to our showroom to see in person all of our hire items and to meet the team.

How do you see 2009 developing?

Well, despite all the doom and gloom that's around, we are currently in the middle of an expansion project to help us cope with the demand for our service. An extra 2,500sq ft warehouse space, a second brand new pure water washing facility, and a new range of cutlery that was launched in March. That's just for starters, and should keep all of the team nice and busy.
