On Sunday, July 28 The Manor House Hotel and Golf Club, Castle Combe, will once again be holding their annual Family and Food Festival on the lawns with live music, fun games and activities, cooking demonstrations, hog roast, barbeque, bar, guided garden tours and a host of fantastic prizes up for grabs on the day. Working alongside Heart FM, the hotel and the Heart FM angels will be fundraising throughout the day. Proceeds will be donated to the Have a Heart Appeal which this year is supporting three charities; Starlight, Make a Wish and Rays of Sunshine.
Food lovers will be spoilt for choice with cooking demonstrations from the Michelin star team, insightful guided tours of the extensive kitchen gardens, a Manor House stall selling delicious homemade treats, market stalls selling the finest local produce and to top it all off, a hog roast from Walter Rose and Son, a Bath Ales bar, a Nyetimber wine bar, a Pimm’s tent and Marshfield Ice-cream’s vintage ice-cream van.
The whole family will find something to enjoy with bouncy castles, face painting, archery, laser clay pigeon shooting, traditional fairground games, superb competitions and a raffle. If this all sounds too energetic, you could simply sit back on the lawns with a glass of something special, soak up the sun and enjoy the live musical entertainment from the seven-piece M Star Band.
Entry is free of charge with the gates open from midday onwards. For more information simply visit www.manorhouse.co.uk/festival
