Beeswax Wrap Company, winner of Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards 2019
Archant
Recognising businesses that implement sustainable practices and recognise the importance of their impact on the environment, we have shortlisted three fantastic businesses that are taking steps to reduce their impact on the environment. Here’s our winner...
This year's finalists
Eliminating package waste, Loose, Stroud
Loose is a community feel retailer where waste is non existent. From encouraging customers to bring in their own containers and even making their own home stitched paper bags from what would otherwise be waste. Reuse, reduce and recycle is the epitome of this shop.
Plastic free bar, Sixways Wine Bar, Cheltenham
A plastic free wine bar is an unusual idea, but the popular Sixways Wine Bar and wine shop is leading the way in thinking about plastic and its impact on the environment.
The winner
Clingfilm alternative, Beeswax Wrap Company, Nailsworth
Beeswax Wraps offer a versatile wrap that can be used to cover food or even be fashioned into storage boxes. The possibilities to reduce your kitchen plastic waste are endless.
A huge thank you to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, who picked our worthy winner of the 'Sustainability Initiative of the Year' award, sponsored by Green People.
