They put in years of dedication and training to create perfection on a plate. These are the chefs behind the wonderful restaurants that we enjoy in the Cotswolds. There is so much talent here, but we have picked our finalists, and one that was a cut above the rest
This year's finalists
Jon Howe, Lumière, Cheltenham
Jon Howe has been working in the industry since leaving school and creates incredible tasting dishes. He has a number of local connections to supply his fresh, local ingredients.
Niall Keating, Whatley Manor Hotel, Malmesbury
Niall Keating has developed a superbly equipped kitchen to deliver exceptional and imaginative dishes. Sustainability and limiting food waste are of real importance to both him and the hotel.
Charles Smith, Lords of the Manor, Upper Slaughter
Charles Smith's passion for food shines through in his remarkable dishes. The use of quality produce is key and local produce is used wherever possible - even that from the hotel's own garden.
