Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards 2018: Best Local Supplier

Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards 2018: Best Local Supplier

From local dairies and free range eggs, to fine food catering companies, the Cotswolds has some of the best local producers and suppliers in England. But who is the best?

The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about the Cotswold countryside and the future of our local environment.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Best Local Supplier/Producer’ Award, sponsored by Steepleton by PegasusLife.

This year’s finalists

Tubby Tom’s, Hartpury

Tubby Tom’s caught the eyes of the judges for their passion for their products. They have an active and large following both online and offline and have a great level of knowledge of their products. Judges especially liked the recipes available to follow with products brought. They have both a great local presence in farm shops and deli’s but also an impressive national presence in Harvey Nichols and it was noted they had a good price point with fun packaging.

Kitchen Garden Foods, Stroud

Judges were impressive with the overall running of Kitchen Garden Foods, comments on beautiful packaging, value for money, small batches of products and the links to the Cotswolds were picked up as fantastic positives. Judges were very impressed with the fantastic wide-range of hand-made products and it can be seen how passionate and knowledgeable they are about their business.

And the winner is...

The Craft Drink Co., Moreton-in-Marsh

The Craft Drink Co. received high praise from the judges for supporting small craft producers and independent stockist. They were impressed with the wide range of drinks available both soft and alcoholic. By supporting smaller brands, they’re helping companies spread their reach to a wider audience in consumers, retailers and private orders. They especially liked seeing the non-alcoholic drinks and the depth of the brand profiles on their website.
