Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards: Restaurant of the Year Award

Archant

From exceptional service to a menu packed with locally sourced, seasonal produce and an outstanding wine list. The best restaurant in the Cotswolds is one of the most coveted titles you can have

The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about the Cotswold countryside and the future of our local environment.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Restaurant of the Year Award’, sponsored by Peter Hickman Hairdressers.

This year’s finalists

East India Café, Cheltenham

Bursting with flavour was how the food was described at East India Café. Staff were said to be very familiar with the use of local produce and judges commended the intimate atmosphere. It is a real hidden gem with judges very keen to go back.

The Wild Rabbit, Kingham

The menu at The Wild Rabbit offered a range of interesting choices and noted the use of local produce. The waiting time was perfect with the establishment being inviting and welcoming.

And the winner is...

The Chef’s Dozen, Chipping Campden

Judges described The Chef’s Dozen as fine dining in the Cotswolds. The wines complimented the choice of seasonal dishes beautifully. Staff were most helpful and the food great value for money.
