This category celebrates the Cotswolds’ finest menus - full of local producers that change seasonally and incorporate a wide range of dishes for all palates
The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.
We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about the Cotswold countryside and the future of our local environment.
Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Best Cotswold Menu’ Award…
This year’s finalists
The Priory Inn, Tetbury
With 90% of the ingredients on The Priory Inn’s menu deriving from a 30 mile radius of the pub, it is clear they are striving to keep things local. On the menu you’ll find a whole host of delicious gourmet pizzas, tasty small plates and an impressive array of à la carte dishes.
The food is uncomplicated, cooked well, and there is a team of talented, passionate chefs working behind the scenes. Judges were impressed with the seasonal, local produce used within the menu at The Priory Inn. The food chosen was excellent and the staff were helpful and committed.
The Weighbridge Inn, Minchinhampton
All food is freshly cooked to order at The Weighbridge Inn, and tasty seasonally ingredients and lots of local produce feature on the menu. The Inn is renowned in Minchinhampton for its delicious ‘2 in 1’ pies.
Judges were impressed with the size of the portions and value for money at The Weighbridge Inn. The menu was said to incorporate a great range of locally sourced produce and provided a fantastic amount of choice.
And the winner of ‘Best Cotswold Menu’ is…
Lumiere has a passion for creating excellent British food packed with bold flavours. The food always looks and tastes spectacular and they have a knowledgeable team on hand to ensure a memorable fine-dining experience.
The menu at Lumiere impressed judges as it was extremely varied and incorporated many local items as well as changing with the seasons. The food ordered was described by exceptional and judges praised the knowledgeable staff.
