Real Ale lovers may be delighted to hear about The Ebrington Arms’ October Beer Festival, which takes place throughout October 2013.

After recently fulfilling a lifelong ambition when they started brewing their own beer, Claire & Jim Alexander are looking to celebrate Britain’s fantastic Real Ale and their beloved new Yubby Bitter.

The Ebrington Arms’ October Beerfest will mark the pub’s commitment to sourcing, serving, brewing and celebrating real ale. Beer flights, the closest relative to wine tasting in the Real Ale world, will become a permanent fixture at the pub, giving customers the chance to sample the real ales before plumping for their favourite.

A month long celebration of events, including beer & food matching and blind tastings, will culminate with the Yubberton Beer Festival on Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26. The beer festival will showcase ten real ale pumps on The Ebrington Arms’ tiny Costwold bar. All ales will be cellar-conditioned and hand pulled and will include the pub’s very own Yubby Bitter.

What’s on when:

Sat, October 5 - 3-6pm - Beer flights and cider pressing.

Sat, October 12 - 3-6pm – Blind tasting hosted by North Cotswold Brewery with points and prizes awarded.

Sat, October 19 - 3-6pm – Beer and food matching with food science expert Dr. Julian South.

Fri, October 25-Sat, October 26 - Ebrington Beer Festival showcasing ten real ale pumps.
