Over 150 businesses, private clients and friends attended Withy King’s annual New Year drinks reception at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and took advantage of the opportunity to ‘Meet the Team’. The evening provided a forum for networking and socialising with solicitors from the firm’s corporate and private client teams. Partner Simon Bassett, Head of Withy King’s family team in Oxford, welcomed guests. Jamie Miller, Chief Executive of Headway Oxfordshire – the firm’s chosen charity for the year – also spoke about the vital role businesses and individuals can play, to assist the charity’s work to support brain injured people. Eric Knowles of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, who is a patron of Headway, also spoke at the event. Simon Bassett said: “We were very pleased to see so many familiar faces and to meet a few new ones. This is an exciting time for Withy King which has been ranked as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for.” The firm is expanding its presence in Oxfordshire, having recently taken on 34 new staff and acquired the Wheatley-based practice of Whetter Duckworth Fowler.
