Stroud based Truturn Precision Engineering, in Gloucestershire has been awarded the highly regarded Investors in People Gold standard accreditation

The Investors in People accreditation is a standard for people management - achieving a successful accreditation against the Standard is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainability. Of 14,000 international companies holding the accreditation, just 1,000 hold a Gold award and less than 100 are in the South West region.

Established for over 30 years Truturn have held the Investors in People Standard accreditation for 3 years prior to their Gold award, and the jump up in level shows just how far the company has moved forward under the stewardship of General Manager, Bob Wilkins. He explained “For an engineering SME to become a member of this very ‘elite club’ is true recognition of the value we place on teamwork here at Truturn. Investors in People were the catalyst to launch a difficult, but successful, cultural change”

Investors in People practionier Dave Pegler added: I would like to congratulate everyone at Truturn on this well-earned and well deserved accolade. To have achieved IIP Gold Accreditation is a testament to the strength of business practices and the maturity of the people management culture. The maturity of the culture is reflected in the online assessment feedback that has resulted in Truturn being ahead of the manufacturing sector benchmark in all 9 IIP indicators.

They are going from strength to strength currently, as this award follows recent approval under the Fit4Nuclear business excellence programme, the company being shortlisted for an award at the Cotswold Life Engineering Manufacturing Innovation Awards 2016 and celebration last year of the businesses 30th Anniversary.
