“The acquisition will enable us to offer our clients new services through Datum and Omega and gives us access to new sectors in aerospace, energy and construction, as well as increasing our market share in manufacturing, whilst further strengthening our UK market leading position in the automotive and logistics sectors.”

Staffline Group Plc, the AIM listed Nottinghamshire based recruiter, has announced they have acquired Passionate About People Group (PAP) and its subsidiaries, Omega Resource Group and Datum RPO.

Staffline is the UK’s largest provider of blue-collar workers, finding work for up to 60,000 people every day at over 400 on-site locations for the UK’s best-known brands.

Passionate About People was established in 1998 and comprises two companies: Omega Resource Group Limited, the South West’s leading provider of blue-collar staffing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, logistics and manufacturing sectors, and Datum RPO Limited, a leading provider of recruitment process outsourcing solutions to blue-chip clients.

The acquisition is consistent with Staffline’s strategy of accelerating the growth of its recruitment division through select, complementary acquisitions that bring strategic benefits. The acquisition broadens the Group’s UK footprint in the South West of England through Omega’s offices in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, as well as at other on-site locations nationwide.

Mark Underwood, Staffline Managing Director, commented: “The acquisition will enable us to offer our clients new services through Datum and Omega and gives us access to new sectors in aerospace, energy and construction, as well as increasing our market share in manufacturing, whilst further strengthening our UK market leading position in the automotive and logistics sectors.

The acquisition supports our vision to be the trusted market leader, providing a single destination for blue-collar workers and employers to connect across the UK. I look forward to welcoming the Passionate About People team to Staffline.”

James Strickland, Passionate About People co-founder, commented: “Myself, and my fellow shareholders, alongside our truly wonderful and dedicated staff, have, in PAP, created an innovative, high growth business that we can all be proud of. After considerable deliberation, the Shareholders felt that even greater levels of opportunity and growth could be bestowed upon PAP as a member of a much larger business. Staffline, with their staggering track record of growth and similar business ‘personality’ to PAP were unanimously considered the ideal acquirer by myself and my fellow shareholders and we are thrilled to have concluded this transaction with Staffline. We would like to thank all stakeholders associated with ourselves and PAP since inception 20 years ago, reserving the biggest thank you for all of our exceptional staff. The transaction concludes with our very best wishes to everyone at Staffline and Passionate About People.”
