Nominations are pouring in for the coolest business in the Cotswolds
Well over 200 companies, venues, people and events have so far been nominated for Rock The Cotswolds, a brand new campaign we’re supporting which launches in January, driven by award-winning app developer Neon Play, and Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, GFirst, to encourage people to see the Cotswolds in an entirely new way.
Why does the Cotswolds need a PR boost? We want anybody who is smart, skilled, ambitious, creative and dynamic. We want them all to help build a thriving and vibrant Cotswold economy to enhance our lives and contribute to the wider UK economy.
Rock The Cotswolds is about flagging up the funky and exciting businesses, people, venues and events that have already made this area their home and show those who don’t live here (and remind a few of those who do), what they’re missing.
Hundreds following the campaign on Twitter (@rockthecotswold), have been nominating the companies that they think Rock the Cotswolds from high tech precision manufacturing companies, app developers, nano-tech companies to fabulous venues which put the bars and restaurants of London, Bristol and Birmingham to shame.
Steve Gregory, boss at precision engineering company Delphi explains why the Cotswolds is so fabulous. “Some people live to work, others work to live. This is one of the most vibrant areas of the UK, and I say that as an incomer.”
One of the main brains behind Rock the Cotswolds is Oli Christie, boss of Neon Play. He said: “80% of the nominations we’ve received have been for businesses I didn’t know about, and every one of them is offering something unique.”
Nominations for the first round of Rock The Cotswolds close on 30 November, so nominate now: www.rockthecotwolds.com
