Omega wins the WEAF Award for Business Improvement, 2013

The last year has smashed all records for Cheltenham based Omega Engineering Services which is a division of Stonehouse based Omega Resource Group, who not only recorded a record year for turnover and profit, but also won the prestigious WEAF award for Business Improvement.

“Over the past 3 years we have tripled the size of our business and have won a number of awards for the services that we provide.” reports Managing Director Andrew Hopcraft. “In a nutshell, we increase the capacity of our customers and improve the quality of the products they deliver by providing a partner with a highly skilled, flexible engineering and manufacturing workforce providing market leading test, control and automation solutions. With on time delivery at 94%, quality at 98% and 97% of our customers recommending us, I believe we would be well placed to support any engineering or manufacturing business in the region and particularly those in safety critical industries such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Transportation.”

“The excellent performance statistics have resonated well with both new and existing customers who trust us to do what we say we are going to do.” according to Peter Spayne, Head of Engineering. “Having enlarged the workforce by nearly 50% Omega now has the breadth and depth of experience needed to respond quickly together with the knowledge and experience to design and manufacture what our customers need, when they need it”.

The results of this hard work and a continual focus on improvement are obvious in both the financial performance of the business and in the loyalty engendered in their customer base. “Many of our customers use us as their preferred low risk supplier” says Chris Evans, New Business Manager “and as they move to new roles, they bring us with them.”
