The leading Gloucestershire law firm has recently appointed six additional lawyers, and made three senior-level promotions, to help meet the growing demands of its commercial and private clients
Willans LLP’s Legal 500-rated wills, probate & trusts division has welcomed associate Hannah Wall, solicitor Laura Stone and private client executive Susie Jones, making it one of the largest private client teams in the region with 11 lawyers in total.
Chartered legal executive Mary Young and solicitor Dorcas Guillebaud have joined the firm’s highly-regarded residential property team, and solicitor Charlotte Brunsdon has joined the firm’s commercial property and charities arm, which acts for a number of national clients including household names.
Bridget Redmond, managing partner, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Hannah, Laura, Susie, Mary, Dorcas and Charlotte. We’re starting the year on a high note, with new talented lawyers boosting our offering, hot on the heels of a record set of results in independent guide The Legal 500. Their appointments reinforce our ability to deliver the superior client service that Willans is known for – prompt, clear, commercially sound and practical legal advice.”
The firm has also announced three senior-level promotions. Sophie Martyn becomes associate solicitor in the corporate & commercial team, with partner Chris Wills becoming head of department. In the wills, probate & trusts team, Rachel Sugden becomes associate solicitor.
Bridget continued; “I’m pleased that Chris, Sophie and Rachel are receiving well-deserved recognition for their talent and hard work. Willans’ ethos is about delivering the finest legal advice in a clear and approachable way, and the outstanding client feedback that each of these lawyers has received is testament to this. The promotions reflect our over-arching strategy of providing first-class legal services for clients across all key practice areas, as well as recognising and nurturing talent from within.”
