A new business centre in Witney has welcomed two occupiers within days of opening its doors

Hexagon Business Centres has launched the serviced office suite at Elmfield, Woodgreen, a building owned by West Oxfordshire District Council. The 3,500 sq ft centre provides flexible accommodation offering room for firms to grow.

The first tenants to move in are Coaching Impact and Independent Opinion Research Network.

Steve Kelly of Independent Opinion Research Network said: “We were looking to move from our home office and having flexible lease terms of a serviced office was a key factor in our decision to move into Elmfield. We like the location of this new business centre, being easily accessible from the east of Witney and yet within walking distance of the town centre.”

The new centre is in the original three-storey Victorian house, which has been vacated by council staff following efficiency savings including shared services with other authorities.

The building has been sympathetically refurbished to provide a range of offices suitable for just one person to larger suites for up to 20 people.

Tenants are offered “easy in, easy out” terms with a simple monthly licence fee including rent, rates, electricity, water, superfast broadband and hosted communications. The centre will provide homes for up to 10 businesses supporting about 50 jobs and also has free, dedicated parking and an on-site cafe.

Michele Lodge, centre manager of Hexagon Business Centres, said: “This is our third business centre in Witney, which illustrates the demand for easy in, easy out office space amongst West Oxfordshire’s thriving business community.

“This latest centre offers a number of slightly larger offices that will suit more established organisations looking for the next step on the commercial property ladder.”

As well as local companies, Michele believes the centre will also attract enquiries from further afield, given Witney’s central location between the M4, M5, M40, A40 and A34.

She added: “With housing growth and the success of the high street, Witney is a great place for employers to be based.”

Will Barton, Business Development Officer at West Oxfordshire District Council, said: “When the space became available, Hexagon offered the ideal solution.

“It is fantastic to be able to support local businesses and we look forward to seeing them flourish at Elmfield.”
