For more than 140 years, Randall & Payne has been well known as a chartered accountancy practice but it is perhaps not as well known for its business advisory service
Will Abbott leads the business advisory team, working with a wide range of owner-managed businesses, charities and not-for-profit organisations, all with one simple aim – to enhance their business’ potential, improve performance and maximise their profit.
Your accountant will be well versed on your business affairs and will have the insight to advise you on the information included in your annual return - but how to best use this knowledge is the key to making a difference to your business.
This is why Randall & Payne runs a series of workshops on key areas such as profit improvement, sales strategy and business strategy.
Profit improvement is something every business should be striving for. The workshop helps identify the underlying causes of poor profit performance, wasteful practises and missed opportunities that impact on your business’ profitable growth.
With waste accounting for up to 30% of many organisations’ operating costs, a Waste Audit and Recovery Plan is essential for business growth.
Delegates are taken through a proven set of tools and methodologies and will walk away with a clear and concise ‘one page profit improvement plan’.
Randall & Payne’s Quorum has been successfully running for a number of years now and allows business leaders to connect and share strategies for growth whilst gaining skills and tools to implement them.
Using a variety of online tools, remote business support and coaching, as well as the workshops, the Quorum is not only a sounding board for your ideas but also gives you the training and knowledge so you can see and measure the progress regularly.
More recently, Will identified clients may have questions they consider separate to their accounts provision, and were therefore not necessarily aware of the full range of services and expertise offered by the firm.
So Advice Clinics have been introduced, aimed at helping with the wide variety of challenges faced by business owners.
They were initially set up for clients, but the advice clinics are now offered to all business professionals who have burning questions and who would also gain value from tapping into the skills in the firm.
The clinics are designed to discuss any business-related topic and we know there are a number of challenges faced, from strategies for profit and growth, succession planning, raising finance, buying or selling a business, dealing with personal tax or tax regulations or sorting payroll and VAT.
Every business owner will embark on their own journey, but ultimately the aim is to be successful and make a profit, and to do this no business can afford to stand still.
Flexibility and responsiveness is driven from the top and therefore adopted by the rest of the firm, obtaining the confidence and ability to do this in key.
There are many ways to get the effective advice and guidance you need and sometimes it’s closer than you think.
