One of Cheltenham's most popular annual events returns, especially for people who love running - and gin!

The highly anticipated Cheltenham Gin Relay takes place on Friday June 21, with local law firm Lodders supporting the event as headline sponsor for the third consecutive year.

The two-mile run takes place at the town's Pittville Park and is open to teams of four runners.

On completing the course, all runners receive a complimentary glass of gin, courtesy of Touring Tipples, with non-alcoholic alternatives available too.

With nine prizes on offer - from Best Looking Fancy Dress Team to Fastest Pub Team - the Gin relay is a fun and social event.

As well as sponsoring the Gin Run, Lodders is entering a team including Steven Baker, Caroline Cowley and Victoria Borrow.

"The Gin run is a brilliant fun event that is suitable for all the family," says Jessica Beddows, joint head of Lodders' Cheltenham practice on Montpellier Parade.

"It can be enjoyed by serious and not so accomplished runners alike, as well as those simply looking to have fun with friends and colleagues. There's an award for best fancy dress, plus a number of other prize categories like Fastest Corporate Team - one that the Lodders' runners have our eyes firmly set on!"

"Lodders is committed to taking an active role in our community," adds Nick Rowe, head of Lodders employment law team and joint head of the Cheltenham office, "whether through supporting local events like the Cheltenham Gin Relay, or via fundraising by The Lodders Charitable Foundation."

The Cheltenham Gin Relay will start at 7.15pm from Pittville Park, and the bar will be open from 6pm. Registration will be open from 5.30pm to enter on the day (provided the entry limit hasn't been reached), or alternatively pre-register online via Tempo Events.

Entry is £50 per team or £12.50 per person, plus a small admin fee.
