It’s less than three weeks to go until this year’s Growing Gloucestershire Conference which is anticipated to attract around 200 business people

The conference will take place later this month (Wednesday June 21) at The Growth Hub and University of Gloucestershire’s Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester.

Led by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Chartered Management Institute (CMI) but open to anyone from any sector or industry, the conference will be themed around talks on financial management, people, marketing and management. 15 speakers will cover 12 seminars enabling delegates to choose their top three talks. The speakers’ programme and full agenda can be downloaded here: www.glosprofs.com/agenda.

Conference keynotes are Dean of Business and Enterprise at University of Gloucestershire Dr Gwyn Jones and best-selling business author and internationally renowned speaker Geoff Burch.

Geoff frequently contributes to, and presents on, TV and radio programmes, including starring in the popular ‘All Over the Shop’ series on BBC2 helping small businesses to survive and thrive. He commented: “They say that eight out of ten businesses fail in their first year but with the correct advice nine out of ten succeed. Success is guaranteed if you invest the time to listen to the experts. I urge you to come along to this conference, no matter where you are on your stage of business growth, and I look forward to meeting many of you.”

New for 2017 is a panel discussion with local representatives of national institutes and GFirst LEP, who will be debating a hot topic they believe will be impacting business professionals in the county, and there will also be a county growth deal news update presented by David Owen, CEO of GFirst LEP.

An exhibition hall will be at the heart of the conference teeming with county businesses including 2017 conference sponsors, Albright IP and Omega Resource Group.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.glosprofs.com and the agenda can be downloaded from www.glosprofs.com/agenda.
