Crowthers Chartered Accountants has been working with businesses to tackle the headache and inefficiencies of bookkeeping systems

Businesses with a turnover above the VAT threshold will be mandated to use HMRC’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) system from April 2019. Under MTD digital records will have to be maintained by businesses and quarterly updates for VAT made to HMRC. The government will be widening the scope of MTD to other taxes from April 2020 at the earliest.

Crowthers has viewed this fundamental change as an opportunity to improve clients’ record keeping systems through the use of Cloud bookkeeping software. Having well-managed, up to date accounts information means that we as accountants have more time to help our clients shape the future of their businesses, allowing for better collaboration and more effective tax planning.

Martin and Jackie Jones of Moat Stables, Gloucestershire, who provide racehorse breaking, schooling and pre-training services are already experiencing the benefits of our Cloud bookkeeping software. Since changing their record keeping system, Martin and Jackie have been able to work more closely with Crowthers, relieve the pressure of bookkeeping, receive tax planning advice and most importantly reduce their Accountancy fees.

Barnaby Bamford, Director of Bamford Wealth Management Limited has passed all bookkeeping duties over to Crowthers and now receives monthly management Accounts enabling total focus to remain on his business. A move to a fixed monthly fee has also simplified and reduced Accountancy costs for Bamford Wealth Management.

Crowthers Chartered Accountants new all-inclusive fixed fees for business clients provide a complete package to cover all bookkeeping, accounting and tax needs from as little as £100 per month. They would be delighted to hear from any businesses that would like their current bookkeeping system reviewed and offer all potential new clients a free consultation which can include a Cloud bookkeeping demonstration. Please call on 01242 309001 for further information.
