Harrison Clark Rickerbys' private client team, which advises clients on an array of matters, including inheritance tax planning, wills, estate administration and powers of attorney, has attracted the accolades in Chambers and Partners' High Net Worth Guide. One of their peers locally said: "They've got a very good non-contentious private client team - they know what they're doing."

Alex Taylor, head of the team in the South West, is highly ranked for his private wealth law expertise; he helps clients with all aspects of estate planning, including tax matters, wills and the establishment and administration of trusts. "He's got an easy-going manner about him and he's a bright guy," said one of his peers.

Alex said: "These comments and the rankings we have achieved acknowledge the dedication and focus of the whole team on our clients' needs; I am delighted that we have been recognised in this way."

Mark Hartley, given top ranking for his expertise, has "a tremendous reputation" in the Cheltenham market. "He's absolutely excellent. The thing we really appreciate is that he's thoughtful and considerate and actually listens to what you have to say," explained a source, adding: "He listens to his client and takes on board their perspective." His clients include business owners, farmers and landowners.

Phillipa Bruce-Kerr, also highly ranked, leads the firm's specialist older and vulnerable people team and receives praise for her handling of Court of Protection matters.
