Cheltenham-based Tidal Training Direct provides cost-effective, accredited one-day courses to small businesses and individuals
Having trained first aiders on the payroll is a requirement for most businesses but for smaller concerns, the cost can be prohibitive.
Cheltenham-based Tidal Training Direct has been set up by former financier Clare Seed to provide cost-effective, accredited one-day courses to small businesses and individuals who want to empower themselves to help save lives.
Fully accredited by the Quality Network, TTD’s Emergency First Aid at Work courses run in Cheltenham on the third Wednesday of every month and include everything from defibrilator training to CPR and treating burns.
The qualification lasts for three years.
Clare said: “It’s our mission to upskill Cheltenham. For businesses, it’s not only about compliance, it’s about empowering staff to be able to step in in an emergency situation. And for individuals and groups, it’s incredibly important to know what to do.
“The skills we teach on our courses are vital lifeskills, and include everything from CPR to how to use defibrillators, paediatric first aid to how to treat burns, scalds and wounds.
“It’s about making a difference.”
Clare and her team have already run a hands-on CPR day at RBS Cheltenham, attended by Cheltenham Mayor Klara Sudbury.
The next course takes place at the Isbourne Centre in Cheltenham on Wednesday July 19.
