As part of a week-long series of events, the Stroud Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering (Festomane) is hosting a VIP business event on the evening of Thursday November 14.

The evening is going to be dedicated to SMEs who need help employing people. This event is for those SME businesses that are unsure about employing further people or apprentices, or for those who are reluctant to increase their workforce and who would like some help and guidance. It will feature leading HR and employment professionals who will give talks to provide help and advice on some of the following issues:

• Not knowing where to start the recruitment process, or where to recruit suitable candidates from

• Finding out what support is available to business

• Help with employment legislation and legal issues

• Managing underperformance or downturns in business

• Employing people flexibly

• Managing your responsibilities as an employer more easily.

In spite of these obstacles, employing people is the best thing you can do to help your business grow and to help someone in to work. This event is offered free of charge and will also allow an opportunity to talk to the experts personally and network with other like-minded business people.
