Technology Innovation Award

We reveal the winner of this year’s Technology Innovation Award, sponsored by Kava Communications

On the evening of Thursday September 20, we celebrated the region’s best innovative engineering and manufacturing companies at the fourth annual Cotswold Life Engineering Manufacturing Innovation Awards, held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The glittering black tie ceremony celebrated the incredible achievements made by companies who really do put the Cotswolds on the map, drive the region’s economy and keep the area at the top of the tree when it comes to entrepreneurship and business success.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the Technology Innovation Award, sponsored by Kava Communications.

Our finalist is:

Auraya Systems, Malvern: ArmorVox

Auraya Systems is a specialist voice biometrics technology developer delivering privacy, security and user experience outcomes for businesses globally.

Its ArmorVox technology is licensed to governments, banks, financial services, telecommunications carriers and IT services providers. ArmorVox analyses the unique voice characteristics of a speaker to confirm they are who they say they are - meaning your voice effectively acts as a password, whatever language you speak. The voice biometric market is valued at $20m and Auraya Systems is working with a host of global partners as it continues its bid to be the world’s leading supplier of the technology.

And the winner is...

Brainomix, Oxford: e-ASPECTS

Brainomix, a medical diagnostics software company, was founded in 2010 as a spin-out from the University of Oxford and is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with neurological and cerebrovascular disorders.

Brainomix is currently focusing on acute stroke with its e-ASPECTS technology. By developing and equipping doctors with this world- class, artificial intelligence-based medical imaging software, Brainomix aims to help them in making life-saving treatment decisions at the patient’s beside by accurately selecting the right treatment for each individual - no matter what the doctor’s experience or level of training.
