We reveal the winner of this year’s Award for Educational Partnership, sponsored by SGS College – Berkeley Green

On the evening of Thursday September 20, we celebrated the region’s best innovative engineering and manufacturing companies at the fourth annual Cotswold Life Engineering Manufacturing Innovation Awards, held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The glittering black tie ceremony celebrated the incredible achievements made by companies who really do put the Cotswolds on the map, drive the region’s economy and keep the area at the top of the tree when it comes to entrepreneurship and business success.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the Award for Educational Partnership, sponsored by SGS College – Berkeley Green.

Our finalist:

Safran Landing Systems

Employees at Safran Landing Systems play a central role in various STEM activities, exhibitions and career advice activities aimed at engaging with young people from the age of 11 to 18 and beyond. The wide ranging activities are successfully delivered due to the strong relationships that Safran Landing Systems continues to develop with schools, industry, event organisers and STEM organisations.

Safran Landing systems educational engagement ambitions comprise of maintaining and expanding the actual activities portfolio, securing a continuous collaboration with existing partners and actively seeking new partnerships to broaden our activities, age range and coverage.

And the winner is...

Xylem Dewatering Solutions

Xylem Dewatering Solutions and Xylem Water Services is the only global manufacturer of the Godwin Dri-Prime bare shaft pump and the centre of excellence for Dewatering Solutions designing and building a range of large bespoke dewatering pumps for numerous industries adapting to continental geographies and extreme climates.

The third and fourth year apprentices partner with work experience school students to showcase their skills as well as hosting local career day events at secondary schools as part of their personal learning and thinking skills.
