Keynote: We are delighted to be welcoming The Rt Hon Lord Drayson, Chairman & CEO of Drayson who is giving this year’s prestigious keynote address. Lord Drayson served in Government from 2009-2010, helping steer the UK economy through some of its most difficult years, latterly as Minister of State in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills where he was responsible for science and innovation, devising plans to introduce the Patent Box, and the UK’s Catapult programme, now a network of world-leading centres designed to transform the UK’s capability for innovation in specific areas and help drive future economic growth. Paul Drayson trained as an engineer in the car industry before studying for a PhD in robotics, which sparked his interest in business and his lifelong career as a science entrepreneur. He has developed successful businesses in food manufacturing, bioscience and motorsport R&D and is now championing the use of untapped in Wi-Fi signals to help monitor air pollution, through Drayson Technologies.
